Apologies and an Overdue Announcement

Sunday, March 21st, 2010

After two weeks of intermittent down time of my website and having to manually fix the problem, to the chagrin of one or two clients who couldn’t gain access when they needed to, I decided to switch my hosting over to (really it’s an American company, and I swore I would stay with Canadian, but enough is enough already).

Apologies to anyone who couldn’t get to my blog on Kaz Design Works or the business directory on I’m a great web designer, but can’t always find my way around the control panels of web hosts to find the relevant bits of information I need to get things like databases up and running.

KWBWA Mardi Gras Celebration

Friday, May 22nd, 2009

I recently received a forward from my networking buddy, Sarah, that included an invitation flyer to a networking event in Kitchener. Sounds great, I thought, I’ll register for that in a couple of days.

But as my work week got busier the email worked its way further down my inbox, only to re-emerge today during my bi-weekly archiving. (I really must do it more frequently! And, that reminds me, I do have a useful email on that topic somewhere, too.)

Anyhow, I re-read the invitation, and immediately registered, and saved myself $5 in the process. Bonus, I thought!

The event is the K-W Business Women’s Association’s annual celebration, to be held on Thursday, June 4th, from noon till 2 pm at the Walper Terrace Hotel in Kitchener. Advance ticket price is $20 if purchased before May 29 (so only one week away) or $25 at the door.

If you’re interested, visit the KWBWA website, or contact Leigh Grant at 519-748-0141 or for more information or to register.

Thanks Sarah. I’ll see you there!
